I bought this original AMT kit as a built-up model on eBay.
It was a good candidate for restoration; it was mostly intact, and the scripts and other details were undamaged.
The original front bumper/grille assembly was stripped and sent to Chrome Tech USA for replating. The rear bumper, steering wheel, hubcaps, and fender ornaments were replaced with parts from The Modelhaus.
