One of the cool things about the model car hobby is the willingness of people to share their experiences, resources and ideas. Over the years, with the help of my fellow modelers, I've managed to try out and in some cases refine tips and tricks that I've found essential to my model building.

One thing that frequently poses a serious problem for modelers is the clear plastic used in most kits to simulate glass. The occasional accident can damage clear plastic; one slip with glue application, or a wayward fingerprint can ruin an otherwise great looking model.
